HRER is seeking to appoint additional editor(s)

HRER is looking to strengthen and expand the Editorial Team as we move from 2 to 3 editions per year in 2021. We extend an invitation to join us to colleagues internationally working in higher education, with appropriate experience of research and publications. You will be involved in the processes of peer review and have opportunities to help shape HRER’s future development. This is a great opportunity to extend your professional networks and to work internationally. Applications are welcomed from scholars at various career stages, including those ready and willing to take on a leadership role in the journal’s ongoing development.

You should have:

PhD or equivalent

Expertise in the field of HRE or a closely-related field

Commitment to strengthening the HRE/child rights education field internationally

Experience of editorial and peer review processes and decision-making

Willingness to work flexibly and to tight editorial deadlines

Teamwork skills

Confidence in using online platforms (support and training offered).

 

Human Rights Education Review aims to make a key contribution to the fast-developing and interdisciplinary field of human rights education. It has developed a reputation for contributions at the intersection of human rights and diversity studies in education. Human Rights Education Review covers all levels of education, from early childhood through to higher education, professional education and lifelong learning. It is supported since 2019 by the World Educational Research Association (WERA) International Research Network (IRN) on Human Rights Education. Since 2021 HRER has hosted an international research webinar series on human rights education with the WERA IRN on HRE.
