Sammendrag

Denne artikkelen utforsker hvordan voksne migranter i Sverige og Norge artikulerer motstand, anerkjennelse og handlingsrom i fortellinger om utdanningsoverganger innen yrkesfaglig opplæring. Med utgangspunkt i Hannah Arendts politiske filosofi og narrativ posisjoneringsanalyse undersøker studien hvordan migranter konstruerer seg selv som handlende subjekter i møte med institusjonelle strukturer, samfunnsdiskurser og personlige erfaringer. Yrkesfaglig opplæring blir ofte fremstilt i politiske dokumenter som en teknisk løsning på arbeidsmarkedsutfordringer, men fortellingene viser at migranter ikke bare er mottakere – de forhandler, motsetter seg og omorienterer seg i komplekse institusjonelle landskap. Analysen bygger på seks narrative intervjuer – tre fra Sverige og tre fra Norge – valgt for å belyse variasjoner i hvordan utdanningsoverganger oppleves og fortolkes. Studien identifiserer tre analytiske temaer: fremtreden gjennom handling og tale, pluralitet som betingelse for anerkjennelse, og utdanning som arena for forhandling om retten til å ha rettigheter. Migranters fortellinger viser hvordan handlingsrom formes gjennom relasjonelt arbeid, strategiske valg og mobilisering av uformell og kulturell kompetanse. Funnene antyder at yrkesfaglig opplæring kan fungere som en arena for politisk fremtreden, men også som et sted for ekskludering. Migranters evne til å handle er ofte betinget av juridisk status, språkkrav og institusjonell anerkjennelse. Studien bidrar til en dypere forståelse av utdanning som en relasjonell og politisk arena, og etterlyser utdanningsmiljøer som støtter pluralitet og gjør det mulig for migranter å fremtre som subjekter med retten til å ha rettigheter.
