Abstract

The article is an A / R / tographic study of the author's preparations for the exhibition Are You Experienced? (2011), in which nine three-, four- and five-year-old's writing games from nine workshops in a kindergarten are exhibited in a public space. This writing game/play process is an example of early literacy from the A / r / graphical perspective. An exhibition is a visible and clear result of the youngest children's writing as it appears from this research perspective. When the audience enters the exhibition space, they are invited into a hermeneutic interpretation process where a game can arise between them, the room and the children's work. This game has the author in mind when designing the three exhibition components. The components are the children's writing on various displays, a video documentation with flashes from the writing in the workshops and a mini workshop for audience participation. The result is an aesthetic formation that can at the same time contribute to the public aesthetic formation.
