This article is based on a research project situated in an educational context in early childhood teacher education. Through an a/r/tographic methodological approach we explore what happens when we open up for an experimental, rhizomatic and unpredictable processes transforming physical and digital materials and phenomena into creative expressions with a group of students. The Framework Plan for the content and tasks of kindergartens from 2017 renews digital practice in both the kindergarten and kindergarten teacher education. Through material and digital transformations new material expressions arises and produces new possibilities for expressions in creative processes. We articulate further how creative processes in a collective learning environment accumulate more knowledge through shared knowledge from a rhizomatic understanding of knowledge production processes.
