Abstract

The article has initial education in the drawing as a theme. By studying the subject of drawing education used in Norwegian primary school teacher education, this text develops three different theoretical categories that depict drawing methodological approaches. The categories are developed with support from the reading and writing field and deals with analytical and synthetic approaches, as well as knowledge-theoretical and learning-theoretical positions. In addition, the term progress by Ralph Tyler (1948) is useful for deepening what emerges. The contribution is intended to be a careful start to developing a teoretical platform in support of the institutions educating teachers for the least in the shelter.
