HRER and COVID-19 impact: submissions and reviews

2020-04-02

Although much is in flux in academic life, we wish to reassure you that the Human Rights Education Review editorial team is aiming to maintain timely production of forthcoming issues of the journal. We continue to welcome new submissions to the journal and will do all we can to ensure timely reviews and processing of articles. We thank our International Editorial Advisory Board and all our peer reviewers for their ongoing support. This work greatly contributes to the high standards of the journal.

As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we understand that many authors and peer reviewers are making adjustments to their professional and personal lives. As a result, some may have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process. Please let our Managing Editor or the Handling Editor of the paper know if you need additional time. HRER systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines for review and turnaround of accepted papers but we intend to be flexible. We will continue to publish individual papers and book reviews once they are processed, prior to their inclusion in scheduled volume.
