Abstract
We are pleased to commence publishing our first OJS journal edition of the Techne Series: Research in Sloyd Education and Craft Science. Techne Series has a long tradition of promoting research in craft and sloyd in Scandinavia, and we would like to continue this tradition by providing our readers with high quality articles that focus on various aspects of craft and sloyd. We will publish two volumes per year and special issues will occasionally be devoted to important topics. We warmly welcome suggestions for future guest-edited issues.
During the last year, the editorial board has been developing more efficient practices to submit articles to our electronic publishing system. In order to continue to solicit quality paper submissions spanning the range of theoretical, methodological and empirical craft and sloyd research, we need to improve our academic peer-review process. Thus, we encourage you to take a role as reviewer or as guest editor. We would be pleased to discuss the process with those who may wish to take part in developing Techne Serie in the future.
